On November 4th, 2012, First Baptist Church West Palm Beach launches Family Church Haitian American. On September 16th FCHA will have their first preview service at First Baptist.
Leadership
We are excited about the vision and leadership that Pastor Josué Léon has been providing for his launch team over the past year. Josue was married to his wife, Erika Danielle, on September 7, 2007 and they have one son. Josué has a MBA from Palm Beach Atlantic University and he works for Northwestern Mutual as a financial representative.
Joining the FCHA staff is Winner Olmann. Winner is a gifted young man that loves to lead others in worship of Christ the King. He has written songs that are Christ-exalting that are offered on iTunes.
To receive more updates on Family Church Haitian American you can follow Josue and Winner on twitter – @josue_leon1, @WinnerOlmann or on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/HaitianAmericanFamilyChurch.
What kind of people makeup Family Church Haitian American?
We want Family Church Haitian American to be a thumbprint of our community. Palm Beach County and the surrounding communities are made up of a diverse group of people from different ethnic, socioeconomic, cultural, and religious backgrounds. The Haitian American population is the largest immigrant group in PBC. FCHA provides an opportunity for those who speak creole and second generational Haitian’s to worship Christ in English and their heart language. FCHA also invites those in our community from every ethnic group to come worship Christ the risen Savior.
What about Children?
Glad to asked! As part of FCHA’s strategic partnership with First Baptist of West Palm Beach, children of all ages (children, youth, college) will experience gospel-centered ministry designed for every age group.
Core Values
We believe that you will find it a place where you can explore and grow in your faith in a community that will encourage and support you in your relationship with Christ. Our desire is that FCHA would become an essential part of your life and the life of our community! FCHA is part of a network of neighborhood churches that First Baptist is launching in Palm Beach County and throughout south FL. Three of our guiding principles are:
- The Supremacy of the Gospel – From Genesis to Revelation God reveals His plan for the redemption of His church through the blood of Christ and His finished work. Everything we do will center around that message. Therefore, we will not get sidetracked by any endeavor that does not have the proclamation of the gospel as its aim.
- The Sufficiency of the Scriptures – God’s word is sufficient and is all we need for salvation and for service.
- The Centrality of the Church – Jesus died to redeem His body the church. Therefore, we will endeavor to encourage believers to enter into community through the local church. This means teaching the importance of corporate worship as well as small group exhortation, accountability, fellowship, and evangelism.
